A beautiful handmade labour of love conversion with all the mod cons needed for life on the road, with full solar you can camp off grid, or plug in at a site. A fixed bed at the rear provides a super comfy double bed with loads of storage underneath which can be accessed from the rear of the van or from inside. There is also storage above the cab and overhead cupboards run along one side – with sliding doors. The ceiling is high enough to easily stand up in – don’t underestimate how important that is!
The kitchen is like that you would find in your kitchen at home and provides a great space for foodies to enjoy cooking, with a birch worktop, proper household sink a 3 ring gas hob and oven. A BBQ point by the sliding door allows for gas to be hooked up when cooking outside. The 50ltr compressor fridge with freezer compartment gives enough space for a good food shop and kitchen cupboard space is ample for a week or two out on the road.
Fully insulated floor, walls and roof with 50mm PIR insulation and recycled plastic wool, and vapour barrier. The van is rust free and has been under sealed by us in September to protect him for years to come. Solar panels and a hybrid inverter provides off grid electricity capability as well as a 16amp shore power hook up point.
A 2 person sofa looks out the sliding door onto which ever vista you find yourself with, there is a mini projector here above you and and Laguna table mount and table to eat at.
Under the sofa you will find the 2 leisure batteries and the electrical system, and lots more storage. There are 4 usb plus sockets as well as 6 normal household plugs – these are available at all times thanks to the hybrid inverter.
Bespoke curtains and black out blinds cover the windows for a restful night sleep.
There is room for you to add your own touches, such as a portable toilet, diesel heater or water heater we just didn’t need these as part of our build. There are also fixings already in place for a Fiama F80s awning which we haven’t bought as it’s been out of stock in the colour we wanted.
His beautiful design featuring Farrow and Ball ‘Green Smoke’, huge storage and kitchen facilities make him the perfect foodie adventure bus.
